Laughter is a powerful tool for bringing people together and building stronger, more active and more compassionate communities.

  • Laughter boosts the immune system so helps reduce sickness;
  • Laughter reduces ‘bad’ stress hormones, so helps people manage their lives more effectively;
  • Laughter helps us to make contact with other people, helps establish trust, and makes people more approachable,
  • Laughter releases anti depressants and endorphines which make for happier people and communities.

Through teaching useful techniques for dealing with life's challenges and by explaining the health benefits, people can choose laughter as an option for improving wellbeing.

And more laughter and playfulness based activities have the power to change attitudes.

Mental Health, Men's Health, Self-Sabotage and Community Laughter Volunteers are some areas where we use laughter.

We also hold the UK Laughter Championships!
