Support us Our project funding Our Funding Our Current project funding Laughter For Wellbeing in Schools and Their Communities Scheme: Healthy Schools Community Partnership Challenge 2019-20 Funder: Salford CVS, Salford City Partnership, and NHS Salford CCG. A project exploring laughter in schools. It plans to include laughter assemblies, community laughter events, a year 6 pupil-designed research projects to see how laughter helps us, a final celebration with all schools involved, skills transfer for volunteers, and creation of a toolkit to share what we discover. The project began in January 2020 and will last until the end of 2020. We are introducing an online element to the project during the first half of 2020. Our recent project funding Wellbeing and Happiness for Care Homes Scheme: Awards For All Wales Funder: National Lottery Community Fund Creation of a toolkit specifically for care homes and older people, supporting well-being, participation, self-fulfillment, positive communications, relationship-centred care, interdependence, and dignity of older people, and well-being and good mental health of their family, friends, unpaid carers and care professionals. 2019 Toolkit for Therapeutic Laughter Activities Unlocking Greater Happiness Scheme: Awards For All England Funder: National Lottery Community Fund We created a general toolkit for therapeutic laughter and play activities for use by all community groups. (2018) Clean Drinking Water project, Ghana Scheme: Global Grant through the Rotary Club of Manchester Funder: Our own fundraising plus The Rotary Foundation. We managed this £30,000 project through our role as a volunteer with the Rotary Club of Manchester, fellow Rotarians, and Kids Foundation. The community of Fievie Dugame had been getting their water from a pond shared with cattle; now they have a resilient mains supply of clean drinking water, management committee to run it, and greater awareness of hygiene and sanitation issue.
